Jaisalmer Fort
Golden fort or Sonar Qila, built by the Bahtti Rajput ruler Jaisala in 1156 is one of the renowned fort. It is located on the Trikuta Hill. The fort looks especially magical when it is lit up at night. It is captivating to wander around this living fort. Sarvottam Vilas, Akhai Vilas, Gaj Mahal, Rang Mahal and Moti Mahal are the five palaces in the fort. Visitors can admire the marvellous city and the desert from the fort.
Patwon-ki-Haveli
This most elegant and impressive of all the Jaisalmer havelis, was constructed by Guman Chand Patwa, a prosperous merchant and a banker. It took fifty years to complete this beautiful five-storey complex. It's divided into six apartments of which two are owned by the aArchaeological Survey of India. Salim Singh-ki-Haveli and Nathmalji-ki-Haveli are also known for there splendid look.
The Desert National Park
This park is known for its distinct and varied fauna. Sudashri forest post is the perfect location to view the wildlife. Birds such as the sandgrouse, partridges, bee-eaters, larks and shrikes are frequently seen here. Demoiselle crane and Hobard turn up in the winter. Other distinguished inhabitants of the park are the Indian bustard, desert fox, Bengal fox, wolf and desert cat.
Desert Culture Centre and Museum
Its aim is to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Old coins, varieties of textiles, traditional Rajasthani instruments, fossils discovered from the desert are the attractions of this museum.

A dazzling and splendid event is organised in the month of Jan/Feb. Festival continue for three days reflecting the culture of the area.
