Lake Palace - Udaipur
The Lake palace
In the city of Udaypur, the Lake Palace (an earlier royal place) is one of the world’s best luxury hotels. It has eighty three rooms and suites with all wall surface covered with white marble. This magnificent structure is located on a four acre natural foundation of rock base on the Jag Niwas Island in the city of Udaipur. The hotel is connected to main land through a boat service operated by the hotel officials for the transportation of guests.
Thing structure is known to be one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. Earlier Lake Palace was meant as a summer palace for the royal families and later it was converted to a five star palace hotel. Initially it was called Jag niwas after its founder Maharana Jagjit Singh who built it in 1743.
The rooms are decorated with green leaves of lotus, cusped arches and inland pink painted mirrors stones. Apartments like the Phool Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Dhola Mahal, Bada Mahal and khush Mahal all attract and enhance the romance of the elegant setting. One finds it hard to accept the departure from this palace. Among the facilities available are swimming pool, a bar and conference hall. Other events of recreation organized here include excursions in the city of Udaipur.
All guests enjoy the kind of luxurious living once enjoyed by the honored companions of the Maharana which were then reserved only for the official of the highest courts.
