How to Reach Pushkar
The holy place of Pushkar is located in the north-west part of Ajmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The distance between Ajmer and Pushkar is about 11 kilometer. Pushkar is one of best visited pilgrimage by the Hindus as this place has the presence of more than 500 temples encircling the infamous Pushkar Lake. This anciently famous place has special attraction to the Indian religious people as well as the global tourist for the world famous Pushkar mela (Pushkar fair) which is held during the winter month of October-November (Kartic according to the Hindu calendar) every year. The most visited temples are Savitri Temple, Brahma Temple, Rangji Temple, Varah Temple and Apteshwar Temple.

By Air: The Indira Gandhi International airport (IGI Airport) at Delhi is the most convenient place for the International tourists to land in the country and board in a domestic flight to reach to reach at Jaipur airport located at a distance of 131 from Pushkar. The other important airport in Rajasthan is the Udaipur airport (Maharana Pratap airport) which is located 302 kilometer away from Pushkar.

By Rail: Ajmer is well connected to the major Indian cities like Delhi, Agra, Ahmedabad, Abu Road, Jodhpur, and Udaipur by regular trains. As a huge pull of foreign tourists first lands at the Indian capital Delhi, the super-first express trains like the Pink City and Shatabdi Express are dedicatedly transporting the passengers from Delhi to Ajmer and Jaipur. Besides these, Ajmer is well-connected with the other important tourist attractions by local rail routes.

The distance between Ahmedabad and Pushkar is approximately 526 kilometers. The express train reaches at Pushkar after a 14-hour super-first run made from the Ahmedabad Railway station.

The distance between Delhi and Pushkar is approximately 392 kilometers which is covered by the super first express trains like Shatabdi Express and Pink City Express roughly in 4.5 hours.

The distance between Jaipur and Pushkar is approximately 145 kilometers which is covered by the local trains between these two cities in around 5 hours.

By Road: The city of Pushkar is well connected with the tourist attractions and other important locations by bus services. There are two bus terminals in Pushkar. One is the Marwar Bus Terminal near the post office located at the north of the Pushkar town. Long distanced bus services to places including Delhi, Jodhpur and Bikaner are operated from this bus terminal. Another is the Ajmer Bus Terminal at the east of the Pushkar town. Buses are regularly operated between Pushkar to Ajmer and Jaipur. The city of Ajmer is connected to every corner of the state with densely networked bus services.

Pushkar is well connected to the other tourist attractions of Rajasthan by Rail and Bus services. Here are the distances from Pushkar to some other tourist centers in Rajasthan:

-- Jaipur: 138 kms. (86 miles).
-- Delhi: 392 kms. (244 miles).
-- Ahmedabad: 526 kms. (327 miles).
-- Jaisalmer: 490 kms. (304 miles).
-- Bikaner: 233 kms. (145 miles).
