Ghanerao Tourism Information
A tiny village, in the largest state of India- Rajasthan, is what Ghanerao is all about. Renowned for its magnificent wildlife, beautiful landscape and rich heritage, Ghanerao has been established as a village that houses the contemporary rail-road networks and at the same time also acts as a guard for the protection of ancient culture. With a tropical climate largely prevalent in the area, which makes tourists more vulnerable to the scathing heat attacks in the prime of summer, October and March are considered to be the best times to visit the place.
The main places of attraction for the tourists are the Hindu and Jain temples which surround the village. Almost all major deities worshipped in both the religions, find place in these temples. However, the most famous one is the tall statue of Lord Ganesha, flanked by his wives Riddhi and Siddhi on either side and guided by Lord Hanuman and the demon Bhairon. Similarly, the temple devoted to the Jain Guru Mahavira also holds immense significance. It is indeed the temples around the village which lend it its quiet essence and silent charm. Considering the potential which the city has, a number of heritage hotels have come up in the vicinity of the town, whose decorations are such that they revive the essentiality of the ancient Rajasthani traditions.
The eminent fort of Kumbhalgarh, built by Rana Kumbha has too aroused a lot of interest in the village. The Safaris of Ghanerao too are recognized far and wide.
