Renowned for its folk music and dance, Barmer is a district in the Rajasthan state. Barmer is situated in the west of Rajasthan and is a part of Thar Desert. Barmer found the origin of its name from its founder ruler, Bahada Rao who is said to have discovered the city in the 13th century.
