Day 01 Thursday Kolkata – Bagdogra – Darjeeling by flight
1015 / 1215
In time get transferred to the airport for your flight to Bagdogra and upon arrival you will be transferred to Darjeeling by road. Upon arrival relax at your hotel.
Day 02 Darjeeling
Sight seeing of Darjeeling including Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. En route we propose a joy ride on the toy train with our compliments.
Day 03 Darjeeling – Pelling
Drive to Pelling after a leisurely breakfast. Enroute enjoy the most scenic sights and unending array of tea plantations. Upon arrival visit Pemayangtse monastery perched on a clifftop.
Day 04 Pelling
Today after breakfast visit to the Rimbi Falls, Kanchenzonga Falls & Kechopalri Lake. Overnight at Pelling.
Day 05 Pelling – Yuksum – Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok on the way visiting Yuksum. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 06 Gangtok
Todays sight seeing includes visit to Ranka & Enchay Monastery in the morning and later also visit the Rumtek Monastrery (closes at 4PM). Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 07 Gangtok – Kalimpong – Jaldapara National Park
Drive to Kalimpong & sight seeing of Cactus Nursery, Durpindara Monastery & Dello Village. Continue drive to Jaldapara and check in at your jungle resort at Hollong Resort.
Day 08 Jaldapara National Park
Full day at Hollong Resort. Morning and evening jungle rides.
Day 09 Jaldapara – Phuentsholling – Thimpu
Today drive onwards to reach Phuentsholling (Indo-bhutanese border) for visa formalities and then drive on to reach Thimpu. (Please keep photographs handy along with a visa fee of USD 30 in cash).
Day 10 Thimpu
After breakfast at your hotel visit the Memorial chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, 15 century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare "Takin" national animal of Bhutan and drive further down with good view of the Thimphu valley. Free time in the market. Also visit the Painting school, National library, Royal goldsmith workshop and Handicraft centers.
Day 11 Thimpu – Wangdi
Drive 3 hours to Wangduephodrang crossing the Dochula pass 3100 meters. On fine weather you will see the eastern Himalayan ranges including the highest mountain in Bhutan Mt. Gangar Punsum (7520 m). The drive from the pass is all the way downhill dropping to the lower and warmer valleys of Lobesa. Visit the Wangduephodrang Dzong and the market area.
Day 12 Wangdi – Punakha
Today a fun filled excursion to the Gangtey Gompa valley at an altitude of 2800 m. This beautiful valley is also home to the rare Black Necked Cranes migrating from the Tibetan plateau to escape the harsh winter. Explore the fascinating glacier valley and then drive onwards to Punakha – the olden day capital of Bhutan, and visit the Punakha Dzong. The road is all down hill and you will notice the change in vegetation and weather getting warmer as Punakha is at a much lower elevation. Punakha is basically an agricultural valley known as the orchard of Western Bhutan.
Day 13 Punakha – Thimpu – Paro
Drive back towards the plain in Thimphu and proceed towards Paro after visiting the oldest building in Bhutan, the Simtokha Dzong. It now serves as a Buddhist university.
Day 14 Paro
Morning sightseeing in Paro, visit the Drukgyal Dzong, a very scenic drive into a typical Bhutanese countryside. Continue on to Ta Dzong , which houses National museum, on the way down visit the Rinpung Dzong, administrative centre of Paro, which houses the monk body.
Day 15 Paro – Kathmandu by flight

(Please keep photographs handy along with a visa fee of USD 50 in cash).
Fly to Kathmandu and upon arrival get transferred to your hotel in the city. (Please keep USD 30 handy in cash for airport tax).
After immigration and customs we proceed towards the temple of Swayambhunath also known as monkey temple and offer prayers. Later visit the Kathmandu durbar square and see the temple of the living goddess the Kumari. Then check in at your hotel.
Day 16 Katmandu
In the morning see the temple at Boudhnath that is shaped like a mandala. Also visit the nearby Pashupatinath temple on the banks of the river. Later leave for the visit the ancient township of Bhaktapur with its quaint character and see the Nyatapola temple.
Day 17 Kathmandu
Today after breakfast leave for a visit to the Patan city with its centre square and the statue of King Malla. This whole square is a cluster of pagoda temples and stone statues. The city is believed to have been built in 299 AD.
Day 18 Kathmandu – Paris
Morning is free at leisure. In time get transferred to the international airport for your flight back home.
