Day 01: Arrival at Chennai
Detailed Itinerary : Your journey to exotic South India begins with arrival at “Gateway to the South”, Chennai previously known as Madras .Our representatives will greet you at the airport. They will accompany you to the hotel and help with all the formalities. There, you can feel comfortable and spend a bit of leisure time .
In the afternoon, the sightseeing tour will mesmerize you.
Also visits to numerous churches and the two splendid temples- one in Triplicane and the other in Mylapore are included in Chennai trip.
Day 02: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Detailed Itinerary : Next morning begins with a plushy breakfast, followed by our move to Kanchipuram, the city populated with thousands of temples and famous for its sarees. The temples include Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, Ekambaranatha Temple, Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kachapeshwarar Temple and various others. Kanchipuram, 70 kms from Mahabalipuram, Capital of Cholas 2nd century BC. Kanchi used to be a major place for Tamil learning as well as a major pilgrimage of Buddhists, Hindus and Jains.
The night stay after such a great day will be at Cove long.
Day 03: Mahabalipuram - Tanjore
Detailed Itinerary : The third day begins with move to Tanjore which enroots from Pondicherry. Pondicherry, originally known for the French influence over it but its gradually fading away. Pondicherry consists of elite Gallic accents. The places to visit in Pondicherry includes Raj Niwas , the residence of Lieutenant Governors of Pondicherry , the Sacred Heart Church , called as `The Englise de Sacre Coeur de Jesus' in French , the Sri Aurobindo Ashram , Chunnabar Resort , famous for its water sports and fantastic beach , Pondicherry museum , exhibiting interesting artifacts pertaining to history of Pondicherry taking us back to 1st century AD .
Now the whole Day Journey including the visit to the exotic places in Pondicherry lead us to Tanjore.
Day 04: Tanjore – Trichy
Detailed Itinerary : After the previous day journey, the present day begins with the sightseeing tour in Tanjore. It is famous for its dance culture, traditional handicrafts, Carnatic music and musical instruments. Tanjore, previously known as Thanjavur is known for the famous Brahadeeswarar Temple. This temple was constructed by Raja Rajan, a Chola King, past thousand years ago. It proved out to be an architect marvel. The famous art gallery consists of a noteworthy collection of paintings, stone sculptures, bronze icons and artifacts pertaining to the Nayaka and the Chola periods. Saraswati Mahal Library is a boundless repository of civilization and inexhaustible gem - storehouse of knowledge maintained by the successive dynasties of Marathas and Nayaks of Thanjavur.
Day 05: Trichy – Madurai
Detailed Itinerary : This morning begins with visit to the ultimate Rock Fort Temple, located on the banks of river Kaveri .It is an 84 meters high rock, amongst the most famous landmarks in Trichy. The attraction here is not the fort itself but for the temple at its peak. 344 steps cut out of rock lead us to the summit where the inscriptions pertaining to 3rd century B.C are present. Next we make our way to the Ranganathaswamy Temple, one of the most visited tourist spot of Trichy is claimed to be the largest temple in India covering 600 acres of land.
The temple was constructed by the contribution of distinct dynasties Cholas, Pandyas and Hoysalas. Next we will cover the Viralimalai Sanctuary located 30 km away from Trichy, located around the Murugan Temple. This place is mainly famous for the wild peacocks.
After the whole day excursion, we drive lately to Madurai. There will be our night stay in a luxurious hotel.
Day 06: Madurai – Chennai
Detailed Itinerary : The following day begins with the sightseeing tour of Madurai, The Athens of the East. It is the 2nd largest city situated on banks of the River Vigai. The city is believed to be established nearly 2500 years ago. The city was named on the name of drops of nectar, also known as Mathuram which drop of Shiva’s locs as he came to sanctify masses for building a temple for him. Madurai wakes up with the hymns of the various world renowned temples like Madurai- Sundareswara temple.
It is one of the most famous temples in the world. Also Madurai is known for shopping purpose which u can not cease to enjoy.
Day 07: Madurai – Chennai
Detailed Itinerary : On the final day of the tour it starts with our move to Chennai. Finally everyone shall be transferred back to the international airport and assisted board their flights for their forward terminus to Chennai.
